Around <strong data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"508\">935.6 million people<\/strong> are employed in this vital sector, representing <strong data-start=\"557\" data-end=\"566\">28.3%<\/strong> of the global workforce.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"951\">According to the latest statistics, <strong data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"658\">the total crop production<\/strong> in the GCC countries is estimated at around <strong data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"723\">8.7 million tons<\/strong>, with <strong data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"746\">Saudi Arabia<\/strong> alone contributing <strong data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"775\">60.5%<\/strong> of the total production. <strong data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"809\">Oman<\/strong> follows with approximately <strong data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"846\">19.1%<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"863\">UAE<\/strong> with <strong data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"878\">12.5%<\/strong>, while the remaining percentage is shared among the other GCC countries.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"1234\"><strong data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"967\">Vegetables<\/strong> make up <strong data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"983\">41%<\/strong> of the total crop production in the region.
