Arab Bank of Oman was established in 1984, following its acquisition of the branches of Arab Bank in the Sultanate of Oman. In the year 1992, The bank was set to expand its activities, as it acquired the Oman European Bank along with its branches. Then the merger between the two banks was completed in 1994.
